In depth

Verdict

Al Khabeer didn't appear to stay this trip on his handicap debut at Pontefract and reverted to 1m2f at Beverley where he was only caught close home. Doubling Dice has a cracking pedigree and wouldn't be making the long journey without good reason, though he hasn't shown much in two starts on the all-weather. Will Sommers made his handicap debut over 1m2f at Haydock and should be suited by the longer trip but a chance is taken with Mark Johnston's newcomer CITRONELLA, who is by New Approach out of a winning mare from a very smart family.
