In depth

Verdict

Ete Indien has drawn wide but that was the case in the Fountain Of Youth here last month when showing tremendous speed to grab the early lead. Nothing looking like catching him from then on including the re-opposing Candy Tycoon and As Seen On Tv, who filled the places, but that form only strengthens the cause of TIZ THE LAW. The latter had beaten Ete Indien before that when returning the impressive winner of the Holy Bull here and Barclay Tagg’s early favourite for the postponed Kentucky Derby looks the one to beat. Independence Hall may settle better today having lost his unbeaten record at Tampa last time while Grade 1 runner-up Gouverneur Morris made a winning reappearance at the latter track and looks Todd Pletcher’s main threat.
