This looks a trappy event and from a shortlist of Wartime, Dannios, Piccolinda and Spinight we will side with WARTIME. It is hard to be too confident about a newcomer but John Gosden's 2-year-old is well-bred and the stable have got a good strike-rate with their 2-year-olds this season. They have also been in red hot form recently so there is plenty to recommend him. Dannios looks the best of those with racecourse experience and it was a fair effort to finish third behind the useful Fleeting Star last time. However, he shapes as though be will be seen to better effect over an extra furlong and for that reason we will take him on. Piccolinda showed up well on her debut but she is another who is bred to be suited by further. Spinight was well beaten at Lingfield last time but Marco Botti is a trainer that merits plenty of respect in these type of events so he should not be discounted lightly. Wartime looks the one to be with and is put forward to make a winning racecourse debut.
