    Verdict

    TAJ MAHAL progressed from winning a nursery to finishing a close third in a Group 3 and running well at the highest level in France. He couldn't cope with stable companion Orderofthegarter in the 2000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown but came from a long way off the pace and will be much sharper for the run. Brutal went from landing a maiden to racing in Group company where he wasn't disgraced while Chronicles showed battling qualities to win at Navan though would need to make further progress. Red Label is by no means out of this with his stable flying and he showed a good attitude in two starts for Luca Cumani in the autumn.
