Albuquerque, a full-brother to Rip Van Winkle, hasn't run since May when well beaten on fast going while Antilles has looked in need of further in both starts at Naas. Empire State, the third of the Ballydoyle entries, just failed to get up over 6f on the latter track last month and looks certain to get into contention while Loughmore probably found the ground too testing over a mile here last week. Merricourt attracted little support at Naas earlier this month but produced a very promising debut, staying on nicely after meeting early trouble. He should have come on enough to make his presence felt but so should SELF RULE and it's Jessica Harrington's charge who gets the vote after he finished very strongly over this trip on soft ground at Limerick 10 days ago.
