      Verdict

      Cosmic Vega made a convincing debut at Leopardstown before a fair effort when tackling Listed company at Tipperary. FLYING VISIT has only ever raced over a mile, scoring on heavy ground at Listowel before twice beaten a neck in subsequent starts, the latest when just failing to make all. Tar Heel's lone success in a dozen starts came over an extended 5f at Navan and he's never raced over a trip this far. Sandhurst couldn't get close to Ideas Of August and Southern Cape at Leopardstown in June but ran on nicely and has been given time to mature. Stable companion Metaphorical was beaten a long way at Cork last month but looks certain to improve.
