    Verdict

MOHAAYED has side-stepped a couple of better races over the weekend to come here and connections should be rewarded. Kevin Prendergast's colt, a close sixth in the 2000 Guineas at the Curragh, didn't reappear until last month when a bit disappointing behind Devonshire at Listowel, though the ground was very testing and this should prove ideal. Loch Garman, a Group 1 winner in France as a juvenile on heavy going, didn't run for almost two years before runner-up to stablemate Parish Hall in a Listed contest at the Curragh in April but once again has a long absence to contend with. Clonard Street looked a smart prospect after his two juvenile runs but doesn't appear to have progressed and could only finish second of three here in June, though he did have Space Ship behind. Mandamus has been looking too high in the weights in handicaps and, like Intransive, will need to find another gear.
