It's difficult to get away from the claims of LOBO ROJO, whose short-head defeat by Russian Emperor on the opening day of the Flat season at Naas in March has been given an almighty boost by the winner, who scored at Royal Ascot on Wednesday. He's well berthed and it will take something special to beat him. Legal Reform looks the main threat as he was around five lengths back at Naas though was travelling well enough to take the lead a furlong out and only succumbed in the closing stages. Dalvey was well supported on the latter track last week but never really got into the picture before staying on. With his yard in good form, he can get involved while the Sea The Stars colt Ashtarak looks one for the future as he has a cracking pedigree for this trip and beyond.
