Elcanos had shown hardly anything before storming away with a Fairyhouse handicap over this trip in January and though 10lb higher will take some beating in that kind of mood. The Shepherd King attempts a new trip over timber and a very good fourth behind Pittoni on his handicap debut at Leopardstown but has won between the flags so should be suited. KERB APPEAL landed a bumper and a maiden hurdle over the minimum trip early last year but hasn't quite been getting home over three miles this season so today's distance should prove ideal and he gets the vote. Ephorus ran well over 2m2f at Leopardstown and wasn't suited by dropping back in trip here last time. He's another who can go well in what looks an open event.
