French Rescue beat a huge field over the trip at the Curragh but couldn't cope with 6lb extra at Killarney a week later when just over three lengths behind Drish Melody. The winner went up 9lb and again performed with credit when beaten a couple of lengths on a return visit last week. Stormie Outlook, runner-up to Drish Melody, occupied the same spot at Thurles five days later. A change of scenery worked the oracle for Slamadoor, who was having only her second start since November when gaining a surprise victory at Bellewstown, but the vote goes to LUCKY QUEEN, who didn't get going until too late at Thurles after making most at Cork. Instrumental won at Dundalk last month and was beaten a short-head over 7f there on Friday
