Being drawn widest of all in a big field isn't ideal but SANDY CREEK has the form and scope to overcome that handicap. Joseph O'Brien's Frankel filly made a very promising debut at the Curragh last summer and was returning from a long break when a close third at Naas last month, a race that is working out well. Hazalaya has shown ability on soft ground and a faster surface can bring about further progress while Velvet And Vine didn't get going until too late at Naas and is expected to do better. The selection's stablemate Maxux, another daughter of Frankel, cost 200,000gns and is a full sister to a Group 2 winner at around this trip.
