Astar didn't do much wrong in her three runs last season culminating in a narrow defeat on heavy ground at Galway. Lan Mara's second at Leopardstown in July suggested better to come but she didn't make the expected progress. Stariam is by Sea The Stars out of a Galileo mare while Sugaree is by Camelot out of a 1m4f winner who also scored over hurdles. She shouldn't lack stamina and her yard is in good form though LAMBADA is by Dubawi out of a Group 2 winner and is a half-sister to four winners so looks the type to do much better in her second season and gets the nod over stablemate Water Nymph, well beaten on testing ground at the Curragh but another likely improver.
