Bell Weir hasn't had too much experience but is progressing nicely. He followed his maiden success over timber on this track last April with a convincing victory on the Flat the following month and though absent since then is expected to do well this year. Federici won a couple of times in quick succession at the turn of the year but couldn't keep up the sequence after an 8lb rise in the weights when only fourth here last month. Might Be Magic has been consistent but was beaten a quite a long way when third at Naas and could be in the grip of the handicapper. Jubilee Year landed a Tipperary handicap over this trip then appeared to find 3m too far at Listowel. He was having his first start since June when falling early at Naas last month but will be a threat if feeling no ill effects. Malt Gem followed a very good run at Thurles last month by unseating his rider when there with a chance on the same track a couple of weeks later. He's in with a shout but GLENQUEST is handed the vote as he's very well handicapped on his return to hurdling after a couple of very strong performances over the bigger obstacles.
