In depth

Verdict

Blairmayne is best over 6f nowadays and was behind Lord Dudley and Andreas Vesalius at the Curragh last time. Hale Bopp hasn’t won over a trip this short since his two-year-old days but his latest second at Killarney confirmed he is in good form. Massaman arrives off the back of a win at Down Royal but that was over an extended 1m2f. Sevenal was well beaten in a claimer on his belated reappearance at Ballinrobe so this can go to the three-year-old PEARLE D’OR. Still very green on his only run so far this year here in April, he’s been given plenty of time to mature by Dermot Weld.
