Ellabella is a five-times Dundalk winner who has never been placed in 10 starts on Turf. Vadiana also got off the mark at the latter track but she'd previously run well in Turf maidens. La Dame Blanche is a course and distance winner but she's been beaten off this mark on her last three starts. ESCULENTA has had a dozen starts without winning but she ran in strong company last season and was only caught in the closing stages over slightly further on her reappearance here so gets the vote. None of the remainder can be dismissed in what looks a competitive affair.
