Lake Champlain beat a big field at Down Royal in August, with several of these behind, and was expected to follow-up at Listowel but didn't take to front-running and was soon done with when headed. His penalty gives him plenty to do though Double Windsor and Uno Voce were both a long way behind at Down Royal but have improved in the meantime. Masterchippy was just over four lengths behind in that Down Royal event and is 6lb better off so must be considered as must Tudor City, who started favourite but finished tailed off. The latter has since run very well on the Flat and is expected to do much better. CROCOSMIA had Lake Champlain and Double Windsor behind when making an impressive debut over timber behind Rashaan at Listowel. She'd shown nothing in three starts on the level but has obviously taken to hurdles and can go one better. Tomorrow Morning has won on the Flat and is the type to do well over timber.
