      Verdict

      BALDOMERO (NAP) had been showing plenty of promise before getting off the mark at Dundalk. He won with a bit in hand so a mark of 83 looks reasonable for his handicap debut. Privilege, a maiden winner at Tipperary in June, never really got going at Roscommon on Monday. Mother Country narrowly landed a Naas maiden then didn't get the run of the race at Galway though could find this a bit short, a remark that also applies to Flying Rock. Split Passion has now had nine starts without winning though a 4lb drop in the weights puts her in the picture.
