Verdict
It’s been sometime since D'bai won in soft going but he landed a conditions' race at Haydock last month with Snazzy Jazzy in close attendance and Happy Power back in fourth. The latter has subsequently won a conditions' contest on good to firm at Salisbury while Cloak Of Spirits seems to handle most types of going but is proving hard to win with. ESCOBAR (NAP) will handle the underfoot conditions having beaten Lord North in heavy ground at Ascot last year. Third in the Lennox Stakes here last month, the return to a mile will suit and David O’Meara sent out last year’s winner. Toro Strike has it all to do on these terms and Sunday Star was due to run at Newmarket yesterday.
