Verdict

Albany Rose went to Pontefract on a four-timer but the combination of a much higher mark and a stiff finish brought her winning run to an end. She should be more at home here and can go well but CADEAUX PEARL looks just the type Dandy Nicholls wins with at this meeting and the recent Catterick winner, who hasn't had much racing, can take this before climbing the ratings. Redvers has never raced at the minimum trip but there's no denying his pace and he should be in the shake-up as should Mosaicist, another who has yet to race over 5f but shows very good early speed. Jamesway missed the break at Newmarket and never got involved but is better than that and must be considered.
