Verdict

A disappointing turnout for a relatively valuable maiden race, and Fatik looks to have a straightforward task of getting off the mark, with Indian Trail the one to chase him home. Marcus Tregoning's colt put up two good runs as a juvenile, including when fifth in the Richmond Stakes here, and may just have caught a tartar when odds-on but only second to Sublimity at York on his reappearance. The fact that Fatik has an official BHB rating of 100 suggests a race like this should be a formality, and he cannot be opposed here. The pick of the other three runners looks to be Indian Trail, who shaped well enough when third at Salisbury on his reappearance, but has almost two stones to find with Fatik on official ratings, so second place is likely to be the best he can hope for.
