In depth

Verdict

LATTAM was hampered when sent off favourite for a valuable handicap over track and trip last month. He’d been in good form before that, including a victory in the Irish Lincolnshire at the Curragh, and gets another chance. Rhoscolyn finished behind the selection here before scoring over 7f at the track but The Gatekeeper finished in front of the above pair earlier and went on to win over course and distance. Sweet Reward is another with winning form at the course, though over 1m2f, while Crystal Casque landed an amateurs race at Ascot recently. Fox Tal and Hafeet Alain would prefer faster going.
