    In depth

    Formwatch

Factual Lad Best effort came over this trip at Epsom earlier in the season; can run the occasional poor race but is one to consider.

Ashlinn (IRE) Much improved effort when dead-heating for second at Epsom last time out; has run well here before and has every chance.

Definite Guest (IRE) Ran best race in defeat last time at Leicester and if continuing improvement shown this season and handling this trip will be very hard to beat.

Bathwick Bruce (IRE) Suited by this trip and goes on any ground; has great chance if running up to his best.

Looking For Love (IRE) Good form at a variety of trips this season and handles this track; will not mind any rain and has excellent chance.

Smashing Time (USA) Had been running well before disappointing at Windsor last time out; not sure to be suited by a soft surface but could sneak into a place.

Firework Poor run over five furlongs last time at Newcastle; had previously run well over six furlongs and could be a lively outside on this sharp track.

Baratheastar Would have a live chance on best of old form and could run well now he is back on a nice mark at his correct distance.

Zhitomir Epsom specialist who ran his best race last time out at that track; consistent and suited by good ground or faster.

Midnight Venture Stepping up in trip but capable of stepping up in trip; handles this track well and could spring a surprise for in-form trainer.

Spirit of Song (IRE) Lightly-raced enough to improve but step up in trip is a concern; still capable of running well.

Burning Impulse Some good efforts and open to improvement but step back in trip is not ideal; not well handicapped

City of London (IRE) Level of form slightly below what is required here but trainer in form and good ground should suit.

Flint River Solid form this term gives him an excellent chance in this tough contest; trainer in smashing form and good chance if handling this track.

Goldie Excellent chance on best of form but would prefer things fast and that is not guaranteed here.
