Rulesn'regulations won this last year but has done nothing since and is tried in first-time blinkers. An exceptionally tough looking event can go to SMARTY SOCKS, who gave the consistent Webbow 2lb and a head beating at Doncaster before a cracking run at Royal Ascot. He failed to stay 1m2f at York last time and this is his trip. Lutine Bell has won over the trip and he's been staying on over 6f in recent races so looks a real threat as does Common Touch, who won twice over today's distance at York before finding soft ground and a mile too much to handle in the Britannia Handicap. Shavansky is in good shape but is better over further unlike Space Station, who is ideally suited by 7f on a fast track as demonstrated by the fact that all of his victories have come here, at Epsom and at Lingfield.
