Mick Channon thinks highly of Ascot maiden winner MALABAR, who wasn't beaten far in the Albany Stakes earlier. She was beaten on soft ground at Haydock on her debut and wouldn't want any more rain but can beat off some strong challengers here. Astrelle has improved with every run and completed her double in a very competitive Newmarket nursery. Efflorescence was very impressive when making all in a maiden at Headquarters and is clearly useful while Publilia is another who made every yard over 6f at Hamilton, though will need to step up on that. Zifena created a surprise when landing a very hot fillies' nursery at Newmarket though there was no fluke about the victory and she's expected to go well in a strong event.
