A very trappy listed event with a number of runners having sound claims. Preference is just for Imperial Dancer who is marginally best in under the race conditions and must go close over his optimum trip. Closely matched with Border Arrow on their running behind Chancellor at Sandown, Imperial Dancer is the more reliable of the pair and as a four year old there would be some hope that he is still improving. Island House will be a big danger and any rain will help his chances, but he was a bit disappointing at Chester last time and must have things go his own way to show his best. It's hard to know what to make of the European challengers Karakal and Black Ledger but on balance they don't look good enough.
