In depth

Formwatch

Noble Pursuit Difficult to fancy on efforts this term.

Freddy Flintstone Faster ground will suit but middle draw not ideal.

Cedar Master (IRE) Poor win record and unlikely to improve on it on first start for the campaign.

Little Amin Much better on softer ground; easy to dismiss.

Harmonic (USA) Handles fast ground and well drawn; has solid claims with Eddery booked.

Dilkusha (IRE) Better effort at Bath last time and well served by fast ground; middle draw a concern though.

Bold Raider Yet to race on ground this fast but handles soft ground so well there has to be a doubt he will handle it.

Lemarate (USA) Faces a tough task on handicap debut.

Colonel Mustard Should find this company too hot after a long layoff.

Grenadier (IRE) Difficult to fancy despite having the best of the draw.

Companion Looks in the handicapper's grip but stall 21 a help and should be thereabouts.

Prince du Soleil (FR) Faces impossible task from stall one.

Blue Streak (IRE) No sign of encouragement on reappearance effort; has stall three to overcome as well.

Alqawaaser (USA) Low draw and lack of a recent run off-putting.

Johnny Reb Yet to prove he handles fast ground and has low draw to overcome.

Diesan (USA) Ex-German trained horse who has been off the track since June '96; impossible to recommend.

Waverley Road Off since February and has a poor draw.

El Maximo (IRE) Has his favoured fast ground today and from a reasonable draw is not lightly dismissed.

Daryabad (IRE) Plenty of encouragement from recent fourth at Leicester; faster ground and stall 20 draw a big plus today.

Common Consent (IRE) Handles all ground, is off a winning mark and well berthed; absence from the track a worry.

Dolphinelle (IRE) Yet to prove he stays this trip; others preferred.

Mythical King (IRE) Well beaten on reappearance; needs to improve.
