Verdict
Sweet Afton defied large odds and unsuitable ground to grab some black type at Bath last time and is taken to appreciate the drop in class and land this sprint handicap. Trainer Malcolm Saunders excels with sprinters and this Sweet Afton has more often than not been campaigned outside her grade by connections. She can land this where Safari Mischief appears the main danger on the evidence of his winning seasonal debut over this course and distance. Up 6lb for that victory this looks tougher. The veteran Golden Dixie appeared as if he would benefit for his pipe opener at Ascot while the classy former classy juvenile Elhamri has not progressed from his juvenile days when he won the Windsor Castle Stakes. He is sliding down the ratings and could be one to cause and upset should one occur.
