Day One caught the eye staying on without being knocked about on his reappearance at Newmarket in August and is taken to open his account at the main expense of All Blue and Tashreefat. The last mentioned hails from the in-form stable of Ed Vaughan and has to be respected stepping up in distance. All Blue represents the Godolphin stable and stepped up on his debut effort when a length fourth behind Barathea Blue at Nottingham last month. He is not certain to stay this longer trip on pedigree though and preference is for Day One. Geoff Wragg's colt is strictly held by Turnstile on running behind Mandatum at Newmarket but there should be plenty more to come from the selection, while Richard Hannon's colt looks fully exposed now. Henry Cecil's Fender is open to improvement after just one start and is another worthy of a mention along with Amanda Perrett's Market Leader. Day One looked worth following at Newmarket though and gets the vote to open his account today.
