Pearl's Girl gets a very tentative vote over the likes of Kineta, Shangazi, Park Lane Princess and Cape Maya to name but a few. Once again some highly thought of fillies strut their stuff, and although the market is going to be a big guide, the form of Pearl's Girl gives her every chance of opening her account. She looked to be crying out for a mile when fourth on her return at Yarmouth and as she will be all the better for the run she is selected to beat some equally promising sorts. Kineta was not beaten too far by the odds-on Cantabria at Leicester last August and can make up for lost time along with Shangazi who did not see the track as a juvenile but who encountered soft ground on her second racecourse appearance here. Park Lane Princess was fancied on her final outing at Beverley last September but disappointed, while of the rest a note should be made of Henry Candy's Early Evening and the Gosden newcomer Spirit Of The Fen, but our small vote goes to Pearl's Girl.
