        Verdict

        Aggagio beat Earlofthecotswolds when winning this last year and a recent second back here suggests another bold bid is likley. But he’ll need to reverse earlier form with TEMPORIZE, who landed a tougher contest over a longer trip here last month and should go close again. Grand Providence beat the selection a neck at Doncaster in July but re-opposes on worse terms while Novel Legend remains 10lb higher than when last successful. Pons Aelius won on fast ground here in June but finished behind third-placed Rhythmic Intent at Sandown subsequently.
