      Verdict

      Lucayan Dancer is the selection to get the better of the prolific Waterside and Joseph Henry. Waterside has won three of his last four and carries top weight as a consequence. However that is only three pounds higher than his most recent win here over a mile, and he may turn out to be well treated. He will be hard to beat. Mark Johnston has his string in fine form and Joseph Henry comes here with a live chance. He won well at Ayr, but a rise in the handicap ensured there was no follow up here on Tuesday, although he ran well in defeat. A Chester winner last month, Lucayan Dancer has run with great credit since, finishing a close third when staying on at Ripon, before encountering traffic problems here on Tuesday, looking unlucky and going down by only a length, flying at the finish. Lucayan Dancer can make amends for that unlucky defeat here.
