Verdict

The Hills stable has won this in five of the last six years, four times with the brilliant Battaash. Equality and Equilateral bid to continue the sequence and the former enters the fray in cracking form having completed a double in a Group 3 at Sandown. The latter finished runner-up in 2020 and has competed at a high level subsequently so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him come out on top of the pair. However, neither can match the exploits of HIGHFIELD PRINCESS, who can bounce back from her three defeats this season. A triple Group 1 winner last summer, including on soft ground at the Curragh when she had Ladies Church well beaten, she was racing on the wrong side when only third in the Jubilee at Ascot and her overall form should be too strong for these.
