Kick On Kick On has his second start after wind surgery and should improve for last month’s return at Newbury. He may well reverse that running with the runner-up Blue De Vega back on a faster surface today while Open Wide ran well on his reappearance at Newmarket and meets Mountain Peak on better terms than when beaten by the latter at Ascot in September. The Daley Express returned to winning ways at Bath last month and can go well again but PUDS is preferred. The latter finished runner-up in a higher grade sprint at Kempton a fortnight ago and there should be more to come from Richard Hughes’ charge this year. Pettochside has struggled since winning last year’s renewal, with Harry Hurricane behind, but can race off a 7lb lower mark.
