made all, almost joined when ridden and hung left over 1f out, straightened and stayed on inside final furlong, always doing enough
chased winner throughout, challenged out wide 2f out, almost upsides when slightly intimidated over 1f out, stayed on inside final furlong, always held
always last, pushed along over 3f out, soon edged right, ridden and left behind over 2f out
Second here and at York over 7f in this grade, CELTIC ART is the one to beat on all known form. He’s out of a winning stayer so it’s unlikely the extra furlong will be a problem. Maori Knight is almost certain to improve on a very promising third at Newbury, however, while Montanari was thought good enough to make his debut in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot. Margaretha never figured at Lingfield and this is a much better race.
