Broxbourne pounced late to land a valuable handicap at York last month but only had a neck to spare over the equally fast-finishing Mawaqeet, who is a pound better off here. Pattern races are probably on the agenda for Mark Johnston's improving stayer but she faces a stiff task here with the three-year-old ARGENT KNIGHT receiving 18lb, including a generous weight-for-age allowance. Willie Jarvis' grey only had to be ridden out with hands and heels to beat Waterclock on his first attempt over 2m at Newmarket and clearly has more in the locker. On a line through the runner-up, he appears to have the beating of Mutual Regard. Aquilonius won on his only previous try over 2m and has a lot more on his plate today from a pound out of the handicap.
