On the evidence of his Beverley success it will take a good one to beat Silent Waves, who is taken to score here from Strategic Prince, Duke Of Marmalade and Medicine Path. Mark Johnston's colt has won both his starts at this trip, and was heavily eased to land the second of those at Beverley by nine lengths last time. Clearly he is up against much tougher opposition here but he looks very progressive and Mark Johnston has been glowing in his praise, which is good enough for us. Strategic Prince steps up to 7f having won over a furlong shorter in the Group 2 July Stakes at Newmarket last time. He should have the stamina to see this trip out well and he is clearly a huge danger. Duke Of Marmalade represents Ballydoyle and he stayed on well under Kieren Fallon to score on The Curragh last time. Mick Kinane should prove a very able deputy and with likely improvement he can go well. Medicine Path probably appeals most of the others after impressing when taking a York maiden on debut and he should be involved, but Silent Waves left a big impression at Beverely and can follow up.
