In depth

Verdict

Winning bumper Red Star Boy faces a stiff task on his hurdling bow as does Shakethebookie, who hasn't been seen on a racecourse since landing a point by 25l at Laurencetown in May 2006. He'llberembered was having his first start since October when a very good third to Macville at Killarney last week and is certain to have benefited from the outing but GENTLEMAN JEFF gets the vote. Dermot Weld's charge was expected to be one of his stable's numerous winners when strongly fancied at the Galway Festival but found the talented Baracas too good. He's since run well on the Flat at Killarney and losses can be recouped here.
