Three potentially useful chasers contest this, two of them trained by Gordon Elliott. BATTLEOVERDOYEN won a point, a bumper and a maiden hurdle before landing a Grade 1 novices' hurdle at Naas in January then started favourite for the Ballymore at Cheltenham only to run in snatches and pull up. Galvin won three bumpers and scored twice over hurdles then lost his unbeaten record in the Ballymore where he finished sixth before having no answer to Getaway Trump at Ayr. Cap York won a Punchestown handicap in February and raced at the highest level subsequently. He was in the lead when falling 2 out on his chasing bow at Fairyhouse a couple of weeks ago and is an obvious danger if no worse for the mishap.
