Tomcoole Lad has won twice around here but it's difficult to imagine a horse approaching his 15th birthday winning a race like this. Bellgrove landed a Tramore handicap over the minimum then led for most of the way over 2m3f at Downpatrick. He's in such good form at present that he's certain to go well but the concession of 19lb, including his rider's claim, to FAIRYMOUNT BOY (NAP) looks beyond him. Mick Hourigan's charge has been running well throughout the summer, scoring at Downpatrick in June, and his latest defeat came over hurdles. Solar Heat has won twice on the Flat this summer but hasn't done as well over timber while Jimmyjames is 0-20 and hasn't run since April.
