Verdict

BLEU BERRY, a winning bumper and five-times hurdles winner, made a belated chasing debut at the Festival in July and ran a fine race behind a couple of useful performers. He looks a smart recruit, despite his age, and can take this before going on to better things. The five-year-old Magic Daze, a winning point-to-pointer, did well over hurdles but chasing was always likely to be her game, a remark that also applies to Noble Yeats, who won a Thurles bumper by 19 lengths and won by 12 lengths on his hurdling debut at Navan.
