Granville Street had shown potential in maidens before making a successful handicap debut over the track and trip on Thursday for which he has a 7lb penalty. Razdan ran well when fourth on Thursday and was engaged again yesterday. Winning bumper Mon Coeur looked certain to score over an extended 2m here on Wednesday when taking the lead in the straight but was run out of it by Last Ammo, who was receiving 11lb. Herculaneum could hardly have been more impressive in a Down Royal handicap but gets a massive 16lb rise for that seven-length victory. It was a surprise that BANNED took so long to lose her maiden tag but she did so in good style at Ballinrobe and an opening handicap mark of 78 looks manageable. Dark Note had a run over hurdles here earlier in the week after last month's narrow Tramore victory over the consistent Expound, who will be 3lb better off. One Cool Poet and No Thanks were engaged in the 8.40 last night.
