Lucid Dreams, three-times a winner over hurdles this season, made an impressive chasing debut when eased right down at Sligo last week. Frontal Assault won this a year ago on his reappearance then raced in much stronger company so should find this more to his liking. FERONILY landed the Grade 1 Champion Novice Chase at the Punchestown Festival before leading for a long way in a Grade 1 at Auteuil a month later. He's still only six and looks a very smart prospect. My Design is consistent and was only two lengths behind subsequent Kerry National winner Desertmore House at Kilbeggan so isn't out of this.
Frontal Assault (IRE) 11-1 (11-3) Rear of mid-division, not fluent 1st and briefly pushed along, mistake 4th, improved to track leaders at 10th, pushed along entering straight, ridden and dropped to moderate 7th 3 out, weakened, 6th of 9, dist behind Churchstonewarrior (11-3) at Navan 3m (1) Good - Yielding in Feb.
Feronily (IRE) 12-1 (10-10) 5th of 15, 22 1/2l behind Theleme (10-10) at Auteuil 3m 1f sft in May.
My Design (IRE) 11-2 (11-5) Tracked leader, soon led, jumped slightly right at 4th, headed 3 out, no impression on leader last where mistake and dropped to 3rd run-in, kept on same pace, 3rd of 6, 10 1/2l behind Brides Hill (11-5) at Listowel 2m 4f Yielding - Soft in Sep.
Lucid Dreams (IRE) 6-5fav (11-12) Chased leader, 2nd halfway, headway to lead travelling well after 4 out, soon clear and not extended, very easily, won at Sligo 2m 2f sft in Sep beating Mister Wilson (11-2) by 13l, 8 ran.
