Battleoftrafalgar attempted to make all over the C&D on Friday and almost made it. He was headed just inside the final furlong by Raffaello Santi but battled on and was beaten only a head. Charging Indian is a specialist on fibresand at Southwell while Night Spark seems best on polytrack. Spring Hawk is very consistent and running well though he's 12lbs higher than for her only success at Down Royal in June. SECOND GLANCE won easily at Sligo last September and ran well over timber in the spring. He's on the upgrade and looks capable of exploiting what looks a fair handicap mark. Articilitis won at the meeting a year ago and is by no means harshly treated on 6lbs higher while Abroad ran really well behind Easy Mate over 2m here earlier this week and won't be inconvenienced by dropping in trip.
