In depth

Verdict

Illysantachristina has won three of her last four starts but Bernard Llewellyn's mare still doesn't look badly handicapped. Mr Harmoosh has a penalty for his Plumpton win but is another for the short-list, while Gilded Age could be interesting after a pipe-opener on the Flat. Bathwick Man may have too much weight but Laudatory makes his handicap debut and makes more appeal than C&D winners Zakeeta and Morestead. FOUNTAINS FLYPAST was giving 7lb to Royale's Charter at Newton Abbot earlier this month but would almost certainly have beaten the subsequent Market Rasen winner had he not stumbled and unshipped Rachael Green two out. He still has plenty of scope and can make amends here.
