Verdict

The vote here goes to Constantine, with his biggest dangers reckoned to be Fast Mix, Nathos and Ken Scott. The selection is the sole course and distance winner in the line-up and ran with credit when second off a three-pounds lower mark here two runs ago. An early mistake and, possibly the trip, can provide excuses for a disappointing Chepstow effort last time but, back at this track, he should be a lot more competitive. Fast Mix wins in his turn and, despite being five pounds higher than for his latest win, at Taunton, he can still be competitive today, particularly if it is a tactical affair. Nathos has shown enough back over hurdles lately to be given some kind of a chance, while My Last Bean will at least like the going today, although overall he maybe has to find a little improvement. Ken Scott is six pounds above a winning Lingfield mark and he looked a bit more like himself last time and, on bits of form, could appear to be reasonably weighted. Finally, Madison de Vonnas has been disappointing in his last two runs after showing promise at Huntingdon, while Salinas, who has not really built on a promising start to his British career, has something to find with the selection based on their recent meeting here. That selection being Constantine.
