Doyens De Ante missed out on a hat-trick dropped down in trip at Hexham but is not out of this, though CALL OF THE LOON makes more appeal. The veteran returned to action with a decent second at Plumpton and can race off the same mark as when successful at Stratford last summer with a conditional’s allowance taken into account.
