    Verdict

YAMUNA RIVER was beaten only neck over track and trip when last over hurdles and Chris Gordon’s filly gets the nod on that form in a weak contest. Westbrook Bertie was still beaten a long way when third at Fakenham on his hurdling bow but this softer ground will suit and he’s preferred to stablemate and hurdles newcomer Poucor. Furia D'Oudairies and Just Perfect have both placed in bumpers but the latter struggled over these obstacles on his recent debut over timber when Little Rich was also well beaten.
