In depth

Verdict

BEAU LAKE (NAP) has a fine strike-rate of 5-18 over hurdles and will love the conditions. He's only 4lb higher than when landing a similar grade handicap here last month and this looks within his capabilities. Hold The Bucks landed a handicap at Plumpton earlier this month but that was a Class 5 event and he's gone up 7lb. Major Milborne has been in good form over fences and would be an obvious threat if transferring his momentum to the smaller obstacles but Cappielow Park has done his winning in lower class events. Very Noble has yet to win over timber but has produced a couple of fair runs and is no forlorn hope in a tight handicap.
