      Verdict

Mayberry just about sets the standard ahead of Slick Mover and Appointment but it may be worth taking a chance that PERCEPTION can continue to progress. Alan King's ex-Flat performer fared about as well as can have been expected behind Advisor at Newbury on debut and she duly stepped up on that running when finishing fourth on a fast surface at Taunton. She was a winner over two miles on the level so should appreciate this stiffer test and may be able to open her account. Mayberry looks to be improving with experience over hurdles and arguably ran the best race of her career when chasing home Raquel White at Plumpton but she didn't find as much as looked likely at one stage so may not relish this longer trip although, to be fair to her, she was having her first start since December. Slick Mover and Appointment are exposed and Astrolibra should pose a bigger threat if she can build on her second to the useful Spring Jim at Leicester but we'll opt for Perception.
