Premier D'troice, a relatively rare jumps runner for the yard, stuck on well to share the spoils when last seen at Taunton in December. His form figures do suggest he's rather an 'all or nothing' character though, and he takes on a couple of useful novices now. There's nothing between his rivals on official ratings, but it was COOLANLY who came out on top when they met here in October and the Flemensfirth gelding can confirm placings. He ran well in open handicap company recently behind Ballymoy and is going the right way. Full Back seeks a third win of the season and will be happier at this level after pulling up in Grade 2 company at Ascot in February.
Full Back (FR) 9-2 (11-0) Raced keenly, held up, not fluent 3rd, closer tracking leaders when went left next, 3rd approaching 10th, losing place when blundered 14th, outpaced next, tailed off and pulled up after 3 out, at Ascot 3m (1) sft in Feb.
Coolanly (IRE) 7-2 (11-12) Led until after 2nd, led 3rd, headed 9th, led 13th, headed 3 out, held after, stayed on, 2nd of 5, 2 1/2l behind Ballymoy (11-12) at Ludlow 3m hcp (3) gd in Mar.
Premier D'troice (FR) 28-1 (11-12) Held up towards rear, last 4 out, significant headway to dispute lead jumping 3 out, headed narrowly last, rallied gamely run-in, a brave effort, won at Taunton 3m hcp (3) hvy in Dec beating Broken Quest (11-12), 9 ran.
